Memorial Meeting for Alan Scott Robinson

    Alan Scott Robinson, 67, died at Solace Hospice Care in Asheville, North Carolina on February 7, with his husband, David Russell Spicer and youngest son, Daniel Robinson, at his side. Just two hours before, his partner of previous decades, Jim Cavener, had visited Alan for the last time.


    Alan’s parents, his oldest son Samuel and a brother, Norman, preceded him in death. He is survived by (former) wife, Rebecca Louise (Becky) Robinson of Salt Lake City, husband, David Russell Spicer (Madawaska, Maine), long-time partner, James Neal Cavener (Asheville, NC), sons Christian Alan (Azusa, California), James Rowlandson (Salt Lake City) and Daniel Timothy (West Hartford, Connecticut), daughter, Amy Elizabeth Trent (Austin, TX), two granddaughters, Eleanor Nicole Trent and Karen Louise Trent (Austin), three brothers in Salt Lake City and two sisters on Washington state’s Puget Sound.


    The remains of Alan Scott Robinson are buried in a family plot at Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah. A Quaker Memorial Meeting will be held at Asheville Friends Meeting House, 227 Edgewood Road, Asheville, NC 28801 on Saturday August 11th 2018 at 3:00 p.m. RSVP, if possible,, or 828/252-7666 when you know you are able to attend.
