Dying & Death Committee Recommendations

A Message from the Dying and Death Committee

Ursula Scott and Al Dupree, both members of the Dying and Death Committee, were very concerned that they, and other Friends, put their affairs in order in case of a sudden, unexpected death. This "Index to Important End-of Life Papers" is meant to be a guide in putting these papers together.

It is suggested that relevant documents be included in a file folder, with the "Index" attached to the front of the folder. Information telling where other important information can be found might also be included in the folder. It is further recommend that you send a copy to your executor and update it annually.

If you wish, the Dying & Death committee (D&D c/o Asheville Friends, 227 Edgewood Road, Asheville NC, 28804) will maintain a copy of this index as a backup to your document arrangements. Should you die unexpectedly, we will forward our copy to your executor. NB: We are not a fit repository for the actual documents.

Finally, we recommend that you have a lawyer review all your arrangements.
